How to assign products to Salesforce B2B

In PCM there are two ways to assign a product to a channel. This can be done on the product detail page and on the product listing page.

Assign products to channels on the PDP

  1. Open a product in PCM

  2. Navigate to the “Assigned channel(s)” section and click on the edit button on the right side (see image 1)

3. In the Assigned channel(s) section check the checkbox of the channels you want to assign your product to (see image 2).

4. click on Save channels to save your selection.

Note: After assigning a product, the channels to which it is assigned will appear in the main information section of the product detail page (see image 3).

Assign (multiple) product(s) to channels on the PLP

The other option to assign a product or multiple products to channels can be done on the product listing page in PCM.

  1. Select a product on the all products page by ticking the checkbox(es) in front of the product code.

  2. Click on the more actions button, from here a dropdown menu appears where you have to click on Add to channel(s) (see image 4).

Other option:

  1. Select all products in one go by ticking the top checkbox (see image 5).

  2. Click on the 'more actions' dropdown to add or remove a product(s) from a channel(s).

Note: if you have selected any filters, ALL the products matches your selected filters will be used in the assignment/removal

After clicking ‘add to channel(s)’ a pop-up will appear on your screen (see image 6).

3. Select the channel(s) you wish to assign your products to.

4. Click assign to complete the process.

Note: Please make sure to always check the SFB2B channel and from there simply choose the desired channels.

5. Once assigned to the correct store channel, the products will then appear in your Salesforce B2B workspace environment. see image 7.

6. Now we have to make sure the product is set on active and assigned to the right catalog, click on the product.

7. Click on edit, and check the active checkbox and click on save. see image 8, 8-1.

8. Head over to related section and click on assign. see image 9

9. Choose the category catalog and click on save.

10. To verify the product is assigned to the right catalog, head back to your store

11. Click on categories

12. Click on the assigned category, in this case it is ‘Sale’. see image 11

13. You now have successfully assigned your product to a category catalog. see image 12
