Exported Excel setting

On this page you will find the solution to work properly with the exported Excel from ORP. Because the Excel sheets are ‘Macro Enabled', you get a security risk warning which blocks the macro’s in the sheet. This is since the Office update of February 2023.

The macro’s in the sheets are necessary for validating the list values of certain product attributes. This is in case these values are imported into ORP.

This is only applicable to Windows. No impact on Apple/MacOSX.

How to recognize in Excel

The security risk warning may appear when you open a Excel sheet, which is exported via process Product Excel Export and downloaded locally. The message appears right below the ribbon and looks as follows:

As you can see in the description the source of the Excel sheet is untrusted. This is what we need to resolve.

Trusted Sites

We need to add the url of ORP to the list of trusted websites. This need to be done on every local computer where the exported Excel is used. Follow the below steps:

  1. Tap the start button or Windows key and type Internet Options.

2. Select Internet Options from the search results and the Internet Properties dialog box will appear.

3. On the Security tab, select Trusted Sites, then select Sites.

4. Type the URL of ORP (https://orp.wolfpack-services.com/) and then select Add.

5. Select Close and then OK.

ORP is now added as a trusted site and you now can open the Excel sheet. The security risk warning is gone and the macro’s are working.
